How renting works when you do it with Mustard

Together, we’ll find you the perfect place to live.

    Step 1 - Home in on the right place

    Look through our available rental properties and book viewings at times that suit you. As soon as you find your perfect place, give us the nod and we’ll get the ball rolling.

    Step 2 - Pin down the paperwork

    Fill in your application, give us your references and pay the deposit while we handle everything at our end super quickly and efficiently.

    Step 3 - Pick up your keys

    When moving day arrives, we’ll run through the inventory together and make sure we all know what’s what. This is when you’ll want your Tenant Liability Insurance to kick in.

  4. Houses on road

    Step 4 - Keep us in the loop

    From time to time you might experience a small issue at your rental property. Let us know as soon as any problems arise and we’ll get things fixed as quickly as possible.

  5. Step 5 - Get your money back

    Keep the property in tip top shape and you’ll receive your deposit back with no fuss at the end of the tenancy. And if you’re renewing? We’ll sort out the paperwork for you.

The fees

Holding deposit to cover referencing period: A week’s rent (which we’ll credit against your first month’s rent) Security deposit: 5 weeks’ rent

Tenancy start: First month’s rent (minus the holding deposit)

Arrears: 3% more than the current Bank of England Base Rate

Change to agreement (including named person): £50

Company lets: £495

Early tenancy cancellation: landlord’s costs (up to a maximum of your outstanding rental amount)
